We would like to take this moment to thank you for
your consideration of donation to the Huntington Volunteer Fire Company No. 1,
of the Pohatcong Township Fire Department. The fire company has been 100%
volunteer serving the township of Pohatcong and the surrounding towns since
1946. Through the years, the cost of maintaining the fire company has
increased and we rely on much needed donations. Our firefighters are
involved in many activities throughout our township. They respond 24/7 to
emergency calls including fire and EMS, water rescues, motor vehicle accidents
and any public assistance that request our help. Our firefighters also
bring smiles on many faces by making sure the holidays are special for children
as well as teaching fire prevention to our children and adults of our
community. It takes a great deal of training to become a
firefighter as well as about $10,500.00 for Personal Protective Equipment for
each firefighter and other costs that are associated with making these
activates possible. With your help, our fire company can keep our volunteer
men and women safe while they are out helping you and the Township of
Pohatcong. |
